MOMENT by Monea Mcclain

Standing on a bridge, looking deep into the water beneath, pondering rings, gaps in time at that moment come together, laughing aloud in the quiet, looking around for audiences unknown, the spreading of arms for trees so far away, the tips of the fingers quest for the smoothness of a leaf, coolness, a sense of being, a touch, hands fall to the sides of the body, almost giving up, almost giving up, but the sun brushes the water, the glare strikes black eyes, come back, air going into the lungs seems energetic, almost reverberating pulses of blood reach the ears, a rhythm of the flow of the water beneath, the moment seems loud, a bird flows across the glow over the brook, almost frozen in motion, the bird looks up,flutters and flies away, a Moment, a reminder, it's great to be alive!
